Venla ilona Blom is a multi-award-winning CONTEMPORARY FOLK vocalist and composer from Finland. She has PERFORMED IN 35 COUNTRIES and her vocals have been used in movie soundtracks, TV-shows and trailers such as HBO:s hit series Game of Thrones.

As a vocalist, she is specialised in extended vocal techniques, vocal percussions and traditional singing styles deriving from Scandinavian and Fenno-Ugric folk music. She has worked as a soloist in various projects with big bands, symphony orchestras and choirs.
In spring 2025 she did a successful soloist debut in Semperoper Dresden in Kaija Saariaho’s Innocence, where she played Markéta, a role specially written for a singer with fenno-ugric folk singing abilities.
